Expectations

To participate and complete the 2025-2026 4-H Photography, you’ll need to:

  1. Attend the photography workshops.
    Note: Like many other 4-H projects, you must attend a minimum of four workshops throughout the 4-H year to enter 4-H photography exhibits in the Lewis & Clark County Fair. We will take attendance at all photography workshops.
  2. Complete the photography project form for your record book, and turn it in to Photography Superintendent (Luke) for review.

    We will have some workshops where we work on your project forms together as a group.
  3. Exhibit your photos at both the county 4-H Photo Show (May) and at the Lewis & Clark County Fair (July)
  4. If this is your first year in the photography project, I recommend that you work through the 4-H Photography Level 1 book, Photography Basics. You can order a copy here >>

March 2025 workshop

Wednesday, March 18 • 5:30 p.m.
Holter Museum of Art
12 E. Lawrence St. • Helena
Adults bring $10 for admission.
Optional: Youth are encouraged to make a $5 donation for admission.

We will view the La Durée photography exhibit by artist Margo Geddes at the Holter, and attending a curator talk on the exhibit. If time allows, we will discuss our upcoming 4-H Photo Show.Parents and guardians are welcome and encouraged to attend.
