“The world of 4-H”
This exhibit will be an all black & white gallery of 4-H photography members covering the activities, work, events and youth experience of 4-H in Lewis & Clark County.

This is a Lewis & Clark County 4-H event, but images will not be judged this year as they have been in the past. 4-H members who are not enrolled in the Photography project may also participate in the Photo Show. See details below:
As a group, we will do our best to cover all 4-H activity between January and April.
Project requirements:
- 4-H Photography members are required to cover and photograph at least one 4-H event or activity during this time frame.
- 4-H Photography members must exhibit at least one image in the Photo Show. Each member may display up to three photos.
- 4-H Photography members must be in attendance during the Opening Reception on May 13, and available to talk with the public as they walk through the exhibit.
- Lewis & Clark County 4-H members who are not enrolled in the 4-H Photography project may also display one photo in the exhibit, provided it is submitted in advance, properly formatted and adheres to the theme and subject of this show (details below).
Photo display details:
- Only black & white images are permitted in this exhibit.
- Photos must be presented in a black frame with glass and a white matte.
- Photos must be a minimum size of 8″ x 10,” and no larger than 18″ x 20.” They can be either portrait or landscape orientation.
- Frames MUST include a hanging wire (preferred) or other hook on the back so that Holter staff can easily mount your photo
- Images must depict an element or perspective of the 4-H experience in Lewis & Clark County.
- Every photo must include the following information:
- Your name
- Your age
- Your 4-H Club
- A short caption that gives information about your photo, and explains the 4-H context (see sample below)
Photos that do not meet the six criteria listed above will be rejected and will not be included in the exhibit.
Drop off your photos:
- You may bring your framed photos to our Photography workshop on April 20, OR,
- Your photos may be dropped off at the Holter Museum between April 26 – May 1 during museum business hours. Please let staff know who you are, and that you’re dropping off your image(s) for the 4-H Photo Show:
- Tuesday – Saturday: 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Sunday: 12 noon – 4 p.m.
