Photo Show Registration: May 1-14, 2021
Deadline to register and enter your photo is
6:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021
4-H’ers will complete the registration form below, answer the three questions, and upload their photo entry.
Just one photo entry per 4-H member may be entered.
There will be no in-person or online judging interview this year.
Your responses to the questions in the registration form will serve as part of the criteria for judging.
Judging score will be based upon the following:
30% Written response to questions
30% Achievement: Demonstrated insight and learning
40% Photo quality
Display:
Photo Show entries will go on display in an online gallery on this website beginning June 1, 2021.
Special requirements for 2021
Entries that do not meet the requirements below will not be displayed in the Photo Show.
- Entry is limited to just one photo this year. This compels you to be your own best critic, and to choose what you feel is your very best photo.
- Because there is just one photo entry, we’re not asking for you to submit an image in a specific category, just your best photo. Photo may be a color or black/white image. Some suggested photo categories include:
• Portrait photo
• Closeup subject
• Outdoor or indoor image
• Abstract/artistic photo
• Composition: image demonstrating excellent arrangement and effective use of Rule of Thirds
• Trick photography or special effect (motion blur, double-exposure, exaggerated scale, etc.)
• Digital photo manipulation
- All photos submitted must be from the current 4-H year. Images entered in previous 4-H Photo Shows or in the Lewis & Clark County Fair are not allowed in this showcase. Images featured in the Photo Show may not be entered in the 2021 Lewis & Clark County 4-H Fair.
- Participants will fill out the registration form below, and then upload their image with the form.
- We encourage you to push the boundaries of your creativity, explore your subject matter and your photography technique. Keep in mind that this show will be open to the public and on display, so present your work and your creativity with your very best effort!
- Awards and ribbons will be announced after judging is complete. The online gallery of photos will feature the photographer name, club, age group, and ribbon awarded.
